WAR 2 Trailer to Shock: Most Violent Ever?

War 2 is all set to arrive in theatres next month, and audiences are eagerly waiting to witness the trailer. As per the latest update, the trailer has received a U/A 16+ certificate from CBFC and the final runtime of the trailer has been locked at 2 minutes and 39 seconds.

Although a release date for the trailer is not confirmed, sources have claimed that people can expect it by July 23 or 24. But for now, audiences are undoubtedly excited to see a small glimpse of the face-off between Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.

On the other hand, it is being questioned whether War 2 will turn out to be one of the most violent films of the YRF Spy Universe. The main reason has been the U/A 16+ rating, which is usually given to films where violence or blood show can be a little disturbing for the audience.

Notably, YRF Spy Universe has a history of bringing family-friendly films. Even the last two films, Pathaan and Tiger 3, received a general U/A certificate. But this time, it seems like parents would prefer to keep their kids away from War 2.

Apart from that, the film’s fate at the box office will also be dependent on the trailer. Trade experts and distributors are already claiming that it will take a big opening due to franchise value and the fan base of Kabir, played by Hrithik.

Pathaan set the biggest opening day record after War (2019), with collections of around Rs. 55 crores on Day 1, and the numbers kept on increasing with each day, making it a blockbuster, with closing collections of Rs. 1,000 crores.

Now it remains to be seen if a positive impression of War 2’s trailer will help it to break the record made by Pathaan. War 2 needs to collect almost Rs. 700-800 crores by the end of its theatrical run to maintain the reputation of the blockbuster franchise.

So, let’s wait until August 14, 2025, to witness if huge crowds will return to the big screen to watch a large-scale entertainer.
