Young Star Stuns The Trade

As expected, Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor has taken the biggest opening of the year for a Hindi movie. It has got a humongous 34 Cr plus on the first day.

The incredible thing here is that it is not only the biggest of the year but also the top opening day for a release on a Non-Holiday. The previous best was Tiger Zinda Hai and Dhoom 3. The start has stunned the trade, as many were expecting big numbers, but not at this level.

The combined factor of director Rajkumar Hirai, actor Ranbir Kapoor and the biopic of controversial star Sanjay Dutt has led to this avalanche at the box office. The trade is expecting the weekend to cross 100 Cr. We have to wait and see if Sanju achieves that or not.
