Producer of Aishwarya Rai’s film arrested!

The anti-national slogans with the placards didn’t go well with the locals of Bhindi Bazaar in Mumbai. Hence on the protest from the locals, the police had to arrest the producer of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s upcoming biopic ‘Sarbjit’.

Actually the producer was shooting for a sequence in the film, the premise of which is set up in Punjab and Pakistan as per the real proceedings of the biopic. A character has to give a speech and the characters playing as audiences will have placards with anti-national slogans.

Hence the locals had objections for which the executive producer was arrested and kept behind bars for nearly two hours and then released later as the film’s unit has prior permissions to shoot for the film in Mumbai. Aish is playing Sarbjit Singh’s sister Daljit Kaur in the film.
