The Hollywood strikes are over and this has got the writers rooms buzzing after months. Many projects are back on the table after being shelved for months during the strikes. Studios are also putting forth many new projects to get things rolling back. However there’s one studio that has managed to anger the Writers Guild Of America(WGA).
It has been reported that Amazon Studios has held many projects on hold which were already underway before the strike. WGA is not happy about how the studio is dealing with it and is taking measures to ensure that Amazon resumes the projects it has put on hold.
The WGA has sent a letter to Amazon Studios about the situation and it has made it very clear that they will take legal action against Amazon if it is necessary. Any legal action would result in more problems for the studio which had already suffered from the strike.
The series ‘Silk: Spider Society’ was announced during the WGA strike and the studio has not resumed production even after the end of the strike. This prompted the WGA to write a letter to the studio. Amazon has shown no interest in bringing the project back in production.
