The first weekend of the movie saw a good domestic box office collection with $34.5 million. Sony Pictures has estimated that The Equalizer 3 will have the second biggest Labor Day opening. It has collected a total of $42.3 million to achieve the feat and surpassed the previous runner-up Halloween (2007) with a $30 million debut.
It has a global debut of $60.6 million, that includes $26.1 million through ticket sales globally excluding the USA.
The Equalizer movies have been famous for their gritty and raw action sequences blended with Washington’s charm. This time the vigilante movie will see its protagonist taking on a gang in Italy.
This summer has been like a dream for movies with several movies doing great at the box office. Barbie, Oppenheimer and The Super Mario Bros. have been ruling the collections.
