Paul Thomas Anderson has completed the cast of his new film. Alana Haim, who had her acting debut in Anderson’s Licorice Pizza, and Teyana Taylor, the breakthrough star of A Thousand and One, have joined the cast, which also includes Wood Harris and Shayna McHayle.
Newcomer Chase Infiniti has also joined the unnamed film, which is now in production and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, and Regina Hall. The film’s storyline is kept under wraps. Anderson authored the script and produced alongside Sara Murphy and Adam Somner, who collaborated with the filmmaker on Licorice Pizza.
Warner Bros. is working with filmmaker Anderson on a project overseen by Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy. De Luca has previously collaborated with Anderson on Boogie Nights and Magnolia, as well as leading New Line. Haim has worked with Anderson on video clips for her sisters’ band.
Taylor, who is represented by WME, has been making waves playing the lead in A Thousand and One, which won the Sundance Film Festival prize. Harris, represented by Gersh and Artists First, has appeared in Creed III and Shooting Stars. McHayle, a rapper and actor, has acted in Support the Girls and Netflix’s romance The Perfect Find.
