
The much-anticipated Jurassic World: Rebirth is set to release in India on July 4. Unfortunately, its arrival hasn’t been as roaring as many people expected. The worst part? The number of planned shows is not that great in terms of screen presence.
From what we can figure out, the action thriller has got good advance bookings. However, the multiplex chains across our country seem to have sidelined the film.

Yes, that’s true. And this favouritism is for Metro In Dino which is going to be released on the same date. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par is also capturing a lot of space in terms of screenings.
This has sparked outrage among a few and many are also calling this out on the internet.
Here’s what one film journalist and trade analyst said on X, “Shocked to see sub-par showcasing for #JurassicWorldRebirth in the multiplex chains in India… A classic case of hitting the nail on your own foot by the exhibitors!

For a franchise that has consistently delivered solid numbers at the Indian box office, this is the worst that the multiplex owners could have done!
If we remember the prequel Jurassic World: Dominion, it opened to Rs. 11 crore in 2022. Yet, exhibitors appear to have given more screens to Bollywood titles, which, while performing well, arguably do not command the same global pull as a Jurassic franchise release.
