Madame Web’s Box Office Drops Down In Pit!

“Bob Marley: One Love” had a 73% dip in ticket sales owing to Valentine’s Day date evenings, earning $3.8 million on its second day of release. The film is expected to gross $30 million to $35 million during the six-day holiday period. Sony’s “Madame Web” is the major competitor, trying to broaden its Spider-verse of Peter Parker-like heroes and villains.

The picture made $2.2 million on the second day of release, bringing its domestic total to $8.2 million. The picture is predicted to gross $26.8 million throughout the prolonged Christmas season. Sony intends to try again in August with “Kraven the Hunter,” which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the titular warrior.

Madame Web, directed by S.J. Clarkson stars Dakota Johnson as Cassie Webb, a paramedic with clairvoyant talents and a mother who studied spiders in the Amazon before her death. The picture has a $80 million budget and will cost tens of millions of dollars to market and distribute.

Despite its expensive budget, “Madame Web” has received a dismal 15% “rotten” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Kingsley Ben-Adir’s starring performance in “Bob Marley” earned positive feedback, although reviewers criticized it for being too safe. The film gets an A CinemaScore, whilst “Madame Web” has a C+.
