Mission Impossible 7 Day 1 Collection; Questionable Numbers At BO

Aging like a fine wine is a proverb we often use for people but we need to rethink that as every new installment of Mission Impossible franchise, it feels better than the last one. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is going on the theaters and the numbers look concerning indeed.

Reports are coming that Mission Impossible 7 bagged $16M on the opening day. Now on a normal weekday, the number sounds impeccable but if you consider that $7M was actually in the previews.

Now in comparison Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and Mission: Impossible – Fallout both managed $22M-$23M.

Now why the questionable statistics?

Previously mentioned movies, they started their journey on a Friday. So it was destined to draw numbers. The weekday caused a dip in the numbers when it comes to Dead Reckoning Part One.

Even if the stats look questionable for a couple of days, it will have a spike on the weekends. Maybe for nostalgia or the Tom Cruise effect, it is projected to make $90M by Sunday.
