Oscars Take Another Dig At Greta With New Promo

With less than a month left for the 2024 Oscars, The Academy has dropped a very interesting new promo for the award night. The promo features host of the show Jimmy Kimmel alongwith Kate McKinnon, America Ferrera and Ryan Gosling. The all Barbie style promo featuring the cast of Barbie did something completely unexpected that has drawn mixed reaction from fans.

The promo begins with Jimmy Kimmel showing up at ‘Weird’ Barbie’s place seeking help reaching the Oscarsland. On the way they encounter all the nominations of this year. The promo even calls Bella from Poor Things as even weirder Barbie.

Ryan Gosling shows up in the back of the car as they reach the Oscars in his ‘Just Ken’ style. This is where the jokes begin and Ryan admits that he’s never going to win but has all hopes from Greta in the best director category. This is when he’s informed that she is not even nominated.

The Greta Gerwig snub was the biggest talking point at this year’s nomination and it definitely upset a lot of fans. It is interesting to see how the promo is received as rubbing it again over the fans might not be the best move here. However, there are few who are seeing the promo as good comic timing.
