Bloody Disgusting has published a new trailer for Rhys Drake-Waterfield’s sequel to Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. The sequel shows more elaborate prosthetic makeup and a perplexed Christopher Robin (Scott Chambers) gazing at the bear. The narrative is kept behind wraps, but this slasher prequel promises to be “bigger and worse” than its predecessor.
Director Frake-Waterfield promises fresh monster designs, a new cast, and a large death toll. The sequel will transport Pooh and his companions to the calm village of Ashdown, leaving the Hundred Acre Wood to battle the villains of the first film.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 will be released with Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin, including Piglet, Owl, and Tigger. The sequel is promised to be darker and more unsettling, with Winnie the Pooh using a chainsaw. Chambers stars as Christopher Robin, Ryan Oliva as Winnie-the-Pooh, Peter DeSouza-Feighoney as Young Pooh, and Tallulah Evans.
The first release of the slasher sequel boosted demand for the subgenre, prompting the announcement of other horror films and games. Drake-Waterfield is also developing horror versions of popular characters, such as Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare and Pinocchio: Unstrung. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2’s release date has not been revealed.
