1000 Rs Maximum Allocation To AP In Railways

Railways Budget is a massive disappointment for Andhra Pradesh with the highest Allocation being Rs 1000 only. Some of the crucial Railway Lines have got only 1000 Rupees Allocation in this budget while South Coastal Railway Zone has got no funds.

Kotipalli – Narasapur, Kakinada – Pitapuram, Obulavaari Palle – Krishnapatnam, Kadapa – Bengaluru, Guduru – Duggarajpatnam, Bhadrachalam – Kovvuru, and Kondapalli – Kothagudem Railway Lines only got 1000 Rupees each in the budget. That means these projects will not move an inch for next one year.

South Coastal Railway Zone (or Vishaka Railway Zone) was announced before 2019 election and is likely to remain as an election gimmick. The Zone did not get a Single Rupee in the budget. Rayagadda Division has got 40 Lakh Rupees for maintenance.

The South Coastal Railway Zone headquarters in Vishakapatnam alone needs 20 acres land. Even the administrative works related to the Zone are not completed in three years.
