2.0 – Here Comes The Drop

2.0 starring Superstar Rajinikanth and directed by Shankar had a perfect extended weekend. After a weak opening day, the weekend was seen as the first hurdle, and 2.0 has passed it comfortably.

The next test was the performance in the weekdays for 2.0. Here, looking at the first Monday numbers, the picture is not looking that rosy. A drop was expected, but 2.0 had a slightly bigger one. It still isn’t at an alarming level and is at a level that suggests a good second weekend ahead. However, the chances of a recovery in Telugu look very bleak.

The early trend on Tuesday suggests further drop. The weekdays are dropping which means it is all now on the second weekend to take 2.0 as far as possible. The collections so far are around 36 Cr. 2.0 will be highest grossing dubbed movie in Telugu from now onwards.
