2 Lessons learned from Attarintiki Daredi triumph

The stupendous success of Pawan Kalyan starrer Attarintiki Daredi has been an eye opener for other people. Take for example Pritish Nandy, a famous Bollywood producer, apart from being a poet and painter, who has been in complete awe of the performance. Pritish Nandy who follows Ram Gopal Varma on social networking site twitter saw Varma’s hyperbolic statements on Atharintiki Daredi and had this to say. If the success of Atharintiki Daredi is anything to go by then the piracy and promotion are highly overrated, he said.

What this means is that if the film is good and connects with an audience then everything else like the release strategy and piracy etc are immaterial, he says. If a film which can do so well with almost half the film out even before release then surely piracy is overrated he feels.

Coming to Atharintiki Daredi, the film’s success has stunned everyone across all industries and even the trade of Telugu film industry. With rampant piracy, issues in state, power crises and finally cyclone the film has still managed to stay at theaters and not just stay manage to create new records speaks volumes about the way people have received the film.
