2024: A Bad Year for Vijay Deverakonda

The year 2024 is over, and it’s time to recap. Vijay Devarakonda, once seen as a rising star, has slowed down considerably.

2024 has been his most disappointing year. While Tollywood focused on pan-India films and new talents, Vijay Devarakonda didn’t feature in any of these discussions.

It wasn’t just about the content, but the combination factor that failed him.

His only release, The Family Star, was a flop despite the collaboration with Geetha Govindam’s director, Parasuram. This made 2024 a forgettable year for Vijay Devarakonda.

The biggest lesson Vijay Devarakonda has hopefully learned is that, as a star who rose from nowhere and built his name, he doesn’t need to rely on combinations like Puri Jagan or Parasuram.

In today’s world, content drives success more than combinations. Vijay is already a brand, but while metrics like collections, opening numbers, and other factors may look good on paper, the results have been massively disappointing for him.

It’s only content that can take him forward from here. This is a hard lesson he has already learned, and hopefully, he focuses only on content moving forward if he has truly introspected on his flops.
