Director Trivikram Srinivas has directed twelve films, with Guntur Kaaram being his twelfth.
In his entire filmography, he has only one true disaster: Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi. Now, in 2024, a similar scenario has repeated with Guntur Kaaram.
After Agnyaathavaasi, Guntur Kaaram stands as the second-biggest disappointment in Trivikram’s career.
This is due to the hype, expectations, and the prestigious combination of Mahesh Babu and Trivikram, collaborating for the third time. Sadly, the movie turned out to be an outdated, cringe-worthy masala film, leaving fans and audiences disappointed.
The highly regarded combination of Mahesh and Trivikram was completely wasted in Guntur Kaaram. Given the outcome, it may not be repeated again.
The blame game between the hero and director worsened matters. An earlier action script was scrapped a few weeks into production, forcing Trivikram to quickly switch to the Guntur Kaaram script and complete the film.
Regardless of whose fault it was, the larger perspective points to Trivikram. As the director, he delivered a masala film far below expectations, especially for a combo as celebrated as Mahesh and Trivikram. While Guntur Kaaram isn’t as bad as Agnyaathavaasi, 2024 marks Trivikram’s second major career disappointment.
