268 Cr Liquor for New Year eve!

Wine and Dine are most popular essentials of New year celebrations. As every year, this year too people gave importance to liquor while welcoming 2014. The excise department had revealed 268 Crore worth liquor was sold on December 30th and 31st. This includes 5 Lakh cases of IML liquor, 2.55 Lakh cases of beer. The 268 Crore is about 40% more than that of the liquor sold on December 28th and 29th. So, this 40% growth amounts to the New year celebration.

It is told that major sales took places in cities like Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam and Vijayawada. There are about 4000 licensed wine shops across the state. There are 1600 bars as well. Heavy rush is found at almost all of them. In addition, liquor flew in various Resorts, Gated Communities, Functions halls who hosted New year parties and events. So, the New Year eve helped government treasury very much.
