300 Cr ‘Karnan’ Waiting for Rajamouli to Leave RFC

It has been Rajamouli’s dream to make a film with the backdrop of ‘Mahabharata’. But, the director said that he isn’t ready to handle such a mammoth project and still needs several films before he touches an epic like Mahabharata.

Now, someone is going to live his dream. Malayalam filmmaker R.S.Vimal, who made his debut into films only last year is making a film titled ‘Kannan’ with around Rs. 300 crores. This film will be made in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi simultaneously. ‘Kannan’ has the backdrop of our epic Mahabharata.

The filmmaker plans to begin shooting after two months, i.e., after Rajamouli completes shooting for ‘Baahubali 2’ in Ramoji Film City. Vimal is waiting for Rajamouli to complete shooting. The sets for ‘Kannan’ are going to be set up in RFC. Several notable stars from South Film Industries will be working in this tetra-lingual project.
