Geetha Govindam has not just surpassed, but thrashed the high-end expectation that trade made after the release of the film. Many initially thought it would end at 40 Cr. Later it was revised to 50 Cr and then 60 Cr. Still, the movie is continuing to collect.

In a few days, the Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer will complete four weeks since its release. At the end of the four weeks, Geetha Govindam will reach the 67 Cr mark. It is simply sensational by any yardstick. With Vinayaka Chaviti holiday coming up don’t be surprised if the movie crawls its way to the 70 Cr in the final leg of its run.

Needless to say for a second-tier hero, the numbers are unheard before as barring Fidaa no movie crossed 45 Cr. As it stands today, Geetha Govindam has passed big hits of all top heroes from a few years back like Dookudu, Gabbar Singh, Race Gurram, Dhruva and Nannaku Prematho. The makers, who have also mostly distributed the film, hit the jackpot with this unexpected massive success.
