85K uninstalled app in 24 hours over Aamir’s remarks

Aamir Khan is in the news for wrong reasons. There is long queue of furore over his comments on the subject of raising intolerance in India on day before yesterday. Following his comments, the netizens have expressed their ire by uninstalling Snapdeal app.

Over the past 24 hours, a record number of 85,000 users uninstalled Snapdeal app and twittereans trending this event as #AppWapsi. Several celebrities including Anupam Kher, Raveena Tandon and Ram Gopal Verma joined the bandwagon of sharp comments against Aamir remarks. Netizens demanding Sanpdeal to remove Aamir as its brand ambassador until then they are vowed to this trend continues.

Snapdeal has appointed Aamir Khan as their brand ambassador in March 2015, for which the leading actor was said to be paid around 15-20 Crores. Few days back, Shahrukh Khan also irked by making such comments. After seeing the reaction, today, Shahrukh Khan issued a clarification that he never made such comments.
