A Clash With Superstar After Ages!

When was the last time Superstar Rajinikanth had a clash at the box office with a relatively known force? We have to go almost a decade back to Chandramukhi. Back then, a Kamal Haasan and Vijay movie came with it for the Tamil New Year Day.

Well, that was in the year 2005, and now after fourteen years, a Superstar movie would face competition if the current release schedules are followed without any change. Tamil star Ajith’s new film Vishwasam has been locked to have a Pongal 2019 release many weeks ago. And today, the makers of Rajinikanth’s Petta have made the same festival presence official.

Apart from Ajith’s film, there is a Simbu movie (remake of Atharintiki Daredi) also planning a Pongal release. We have to wait and see which one of these actually make it to the theatres. As far as completion goes, two of the three are already in post-production.
