A simple girl with great talent

Southern actress Swathi does not live a starry lifestyle or own an expensive car instead she lives with her parents and leads a simple life. The actress who has already received a Filmfare award for Best Actor (female) and two Nandi Awards says that even after gaining critical acclaim movie offers remain scarce.

She said that after all the appreciation that came her way, she expected to get a lot of offers, but that has not been the case. She was recently seen in Swamy ra ra opposite Nikhil but didn’t have a single release in the year 2012. About that she said “It’s not like I’m excessively selective about films or waiting for award-winning directors to approach me. My conditions for taking up a movie are simple — my craft should benefit from the film.”

She feels that when one is successful commercially, anything can be forgiven. According to her, throwing tantrums and coming late to the sets can be exempted as long as a person is successful. Otherwise they are expected to socialize and attend parties etc. But she is not that kind of person. “I am still a middle class girl who lives with her parents” is all she says.
