Aadarsha Kutumbam AK47: Costly Release Date Blunder?

Aadarsha Kutumbam AK47 Dasara Release Strategy and Box Office

Aadarsha Kutumbam AK47 missing the Dasara holiday season has turned out to be a massive strategic mistake by the makers. The film was initially announced for an October 9 release, just before the school and college holidays began in the Telugu states. However, the release was postponed making way for Jailer 2, and the film finally arrived in theatres on October 30.

Jailer emerged as a blockbuster by capitalizing on the festive holiday season, while AK47 has opened this week with underwhelming collections.

October 9 was arguably the best available release date for Aadarsha Kutumbam. The film had a golden opportunity to benefit from nearly two weeks of holidays and attract family audiences.

Instead, the makers chose to release it during a dull season. Even though the film has received a decent response from audiences, the expected footfalls are missing. There is a clear difference between public talk and actual box office revenue.

Trivikram Srinivas and the production team should have planned the schedule better and ensured that the film was ready for an October 9 release. The delay has cost the film a valuable box office opportunity.

With a strong holiday advantage, Aadarsha Kutumbam could have collected significantly more than what it is earning now. The makers are now facing criticism from audiences and fans over the release strategy.

Having confidence in the content is important, but choosing the right release date is equally crucial. A good film released at the wrong time can still lose out at the box office. In this case, the makers’ decision has seriously hurt Aadarsha Kutumbam’s box office potential.
