Aadarsha Kutumbam Gets Caught in a Song Dispute

A song from a small film has unexpectedly become a headache for a Venkatesh starrer. The producer of Parnashala, Manchi Venkat, is unhappy with the way his film’s song ‘Jim Jim Thara’ has been used in Aadarsha Kutumbam: House No. 47. He alleges that the makers used the song for around 15 seconds in a scene featuring Venkatesh without taking prior permission.

Speaking to the media, Venkat questioned how a song officially released through Aditya Music could be used in another film without the original makers consent. His concern is not limited to the permission issue. He fears that such usage could affect the prospects of Parnashala, which is yet to hit theatres.

“Save small films” was his appeal to the industry. He also made it clear that legal action would follow if anyone continued using their song without permission.

Directed by Y.G. Bharath, Parnashala is a horror comedy with suspense thriller elements. The film is yet to release, but its promotional song has already brought it into an unexpected face-off with a Venkatesh starrer.
