Acharya Wrapped, But Maintaining Suspense On It

The shooting of the talkie portion of Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya is wrapped. It is all but complete except for the picturisation of a couple of songs. However, the makers haven’t announced any release date and are maintaining suspense over it.

In the past few days, many big films have come out with their release dates. Many expected Acharya to do the same, but nothing came out on that front. However, what came out was the supposed disappointment with the release date announcement of Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak. Apparently, Chiranjeevi wanted Acharya to come for Sankranthi 2022.

With the recent announcements and choc-o-block dates in mind, the makers of Acharya seems to be playing a wait and watch game. It is why they haven’t given any official announcement regarding the release date.

It seems that the Acharya team believes that if the Covid-19 cases raise again, or if there is another wave, the shooting of some of the upcoming biggies could be stalled. It means they would not be able to make it to the announced date. As Acharya would be ready, they will then take up its spot.

The fans can only wait for now unless the makers go ahead with a date anyway. Acharya carries humongous expectations and is bought for hefty prices. It would require a clean opening day and week to score heavily. Let’s see if that happens or not.
