The sequel to Srinu Vaitla’s blockbuster Anandam will go on floors soon and the film’s lead actor Jai Akash will play the lead as well as direct it. The film, which has titled Anandam Arambam, will be simultaneously made in Telugu as well as Tamil. Jai said that since the film still happens to be the biggest hit in his career, he wanted to capitalize on it and wanted to see if he can churn out a sequel.
The sequel although will not the continue the story but will more or less give audiences the feel of a franchise. He said that he hasn’t tasted in a long time and with this film he hopes to break the rough patch he is going through. Why is Jai is so keen to touch a film that enjoys a cult status in the industry? He is so desperate for a hit that he is ready to do whatever it takes to taste success, and therefore, seems to be messing with one of highly entertaining films in Telugu cinema.
The biggest problem with him is that he always insists on directing his own films, which always turn out to be disasters. All his recent films were directed by him and not even one managed to even enjoy a successful one week run at the box-office.
