Actress Not Desperate to Take Rape Victim Roles

Here in Telugu, Taapsee Pannu started her career with total glamour roles but in Bollywood she settled there with career-defining roles playing strong female-oriented roles in sensible movies.

Looks like, some filmmakers seem to be thinking that she would be under the obligation to take up only such roles. Taapsee is talking about the problem of being typecast when some makers offered her rape victim roles because of her roles in ‘Pink’, ‘Badla’ etc.

However, Taapsee isn’t interested in being typecast and she isn’t regretting not taking up all such roles that have been coming her way. She isn’t desperate for money and therefore, free to reject movies that would typecast her in certain roles.
