Adipurush Producer Slapped With Rape Case

A complaint has been filed against Bhushan Kumar, the son of the late Gulshan Kumar and the owner of T-series, for allegedly raping a woman under the guise of offering her a job at his music record label and film production company.

On Wednesday, the Bombay High Court refused to quash the rape FIR lodged against Bhushan Kumar and noted that even if the complainant was agreeable to quashing the case, it did not necessarily mean that it should be dismissed. The complainant, a model, had agreed to have the FIR against Kumar quashed, which she had previously filed.

Additionally, the court pointed out that there were factual discrepancies in the police’s investigation report, which further reinforced their reluctance to dismiss the FIR.

According to the 30-year-old woman’s allegations, Kumar sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions from September 2017 to August 2022, and she also reported that he threatened to harm her. An FIR has been lodged by the police based on her complaint.

Bhushan Kumar is also one of the producers of Prabhas’ upcoming film Adipurush. He was also the producer of Radhe Shyam. He also collaborated with Dil Raju for the HIT movie remake and Allu Aravind for the Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo remake.
