After Haleem & Biryani, it’s their turn to fly overseas

Hyderabad’s Very famous Osmania Biscuits will be very soon available at F&B lounges at the international airports in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Syed Irfan, co-owner and partner at the city’s oldest bakeries, confirms that the biscuits will be available in airports here and also in countries like UAE.

The retailers are looking at setting up manufacturing unit in various countries to meet the demand. Already Hyderabad bases cuisines like Haleem and Biryani flew abroad and now it is the turn of Osmania biscuits.

The biscuits were first baked on the demand of the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan, who wanted a snack that was a little sweet and a little salty. Today, Osmania biscuits are mandatory along with Chai in almost all the Chai shops in Hyderabad.
