After Leo, Neel Under Scrutiny: Can He Deliver?

LEO took the trade by surprise when, contrary to expectations that the hype was limited to Tamil Nadu, the craze for director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s brand extended beyond the state’s borders.

Now, the next highly anticipated film, accompanied by a director with similar levels of excitement, is Prashanth Neel’s “Salaar,” set for release on December 22. The film carries immense anticipation and faces competition from SRK’s “Dunki.”

In LEO’s case, there’s no denying that Lokesh delivered a disappointing second half, but the film is still raking in good collections, capitalizing on the hype and the festive season.

Now, all eyes are on Prashanth Neel to see if he can deliver a movie that lives up to the expectations and avoids a situation like LEO’s.

If he succeeds, there will be no turning back for Prashanth Neel, and he could be hailed as a director second only to SS Rajamouli.
