Don’t listen to fans – The first and foremost thing to do is not listen to fans at all. Why listen to them, they will anyway watch the movie. Don’t care about any of their grievances or bother about their anger. At best it might reduce their interest in the film.
Don’t stick to time – The second is to not adhere to time, always. Sticking to time means fans being ready on time to take the material to the next level. But, that would only increase the buzz in the movie, which is not a right thing to do.
Be Random In releases – Be random, release the promo material at will, who cares if its 3 AM. Throw a lottery and pick the dates, why have a plan to build the momentum towards the release. It will only increase general awareness of the movie.
Avoid publicity – Avoid publicity because the star is not interested. Everyone knows there are no other means of movie promotion if the star isn’t involved.
Don’t Show Trailers – Release the teaser or trailer online, but make sure it is not shown anywhere, like the theaters or on Television. It will help get the trailer get a broader reach that might make people interested in the movie.
Don’t Update – Even if its only days away from release, don’t update any details about the movie regarding Censor or trailer or posters. Expect others to share or leak low-quality images or unconfirmed news. Give no clarity or take action in either case.
So those are the six golden rules to be followed by any biggie if they want just to kill the interest and make happy with a low response when there is a possibility of a phenomenon to occur.
