Koratala humbly said that he is supporting the cause of the women who is fighting against the casting couch and empathised with the actresses who had been exploited, sexually and financially. But then, he wanted to clarify on certain things that he has the utmost respect for women and vowed that he never did anything to disrespect them.
He also clarified that in no way Sri Reddy took his name but there are some thumbnails that were created in his name and circulating on the social media and also main media. Though he was disturbed when his name surfaced despite the fact that Sri Reddy herself didn’t take his name, he was busy with the post-production work of BAN and hence, couldn’t respond immediately.
This is the first ever response from an A-lister director and he was so positive and tried his best not to instigate further hatred. If Koratala hadn’t responded now, the media would have haunted him with the question regarding Sri Reddy all through the promotional activities and interactions. Looks like Koratala did his part and hope, there wouldn’t be any issues.
