Akhanda’s OTT Platform Locked

Nandamuri Balakrishna is in the final leg of production now. The film is likely to hit the silver screens this December. Now, Akhanda has apparently sealed its OTT streaming partner.

Disney+ Hotstar has bagged the post theatrical digital streaming rights of Akhanda. The OTT platform has apparently paid big bucks for the digital streaming rights of the Balakrishna starrer.
Disney+ Hotstar has been upping the ante when it comes to expanding its market in the twin Telugu states. The platform recently bough Ram Charan on board as its brand ambassador. Now, Hotstar hopes to make it big with Akhanda.

Up until now, only Amazon Prime has been taking an aggressive stance when it comes to bagging the post theatrical digital rights of mainstream Telugu biggies. Netflix and Hotstar are now following a similar path. Akhanda could well be Hotstar’s ticket to tapping into the Telugu OTT market.

Akhanda is a powerful action drama directed by Boyapati Sreenu. The film has Balakrishna and Pragya Jaiswal in the lead roles.
