Naga Chaitanya isn’t new to remakes and his previous movies aka ‘Tadakha’ is a remake of a Tamil film and ‘Premam’ the Telugu remake of the blockbuster Malayalam film with the same title. Though the remakes fared decently at the box-office, they didn’t repeat the same level of success here in Tollywood. ‘Premam’ was a classic in Malayalam and when it came to Tollywood, it became more like a commercial outing.
Coming to ‘Barely ki Burfi’, it’s a romantic comedy that has a universal appeal and therefore, who had watched the original can easily say that it has the appeal to go to different languages as a remake. Nothing is finalized yet with regard to the Telugu remake and Naga Chaitanya is yet to sign on the dotted lines. Let’s wait and see which hero signs this Bollywood movie.
