Alia Bhatt Silences Her Trolls Yet Again

Alia Bhatt joined hands with Shah Rukh Khan and turned producer with the Netflix movie Darlings. The film started streaming on the OTT giant on August 5th. Since then, the film has been receiving unanimous praise for its brilliant direction and superlative performances.

There were meaningless boycott trends #BoycottAliaBhatt and #BoycottDarlings on social media. But Alia Bhatt silenced all her trolls yet again by giving a smashing performance in the film.

In the movie, Alia Bhatt falls in love and marries Vijay Varma, who turns out to be an abusive alcoholic. Her mother, played by Shefali Shah, stays in the same slum area and encourages her daughter daily to get rid of her toxic husband. But Alia, like many women, doesn’t lose hope. She tries to reform him, and then something happens and which is played out chillingly with some great humor.

Alia Bhatt plays her part like a veteran as the gullible wife who believes she can change her husband. After Gangubai Kathiawadi, this is another towering performance from Alia Bhatt. Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah lend brilliant support to this engaging dark comedy.

Alia is enjoying another success in her already feathered cap without giving two hoots about the trolls.
