Allu Aravind’s OTT Loses Steam

What seems to be a golden opportunity during the lockdown period for the digital OTT platforms is literally being wasted in the case of Allu Aravind’s OTT Aha. The platform streamed two latest Telugu web series aka ‘SIN‘ and ‘Locked‘.

Both the series received a poor rating. Especially, ‘SIN’ has bold and sleazy content as it is an adult series. Therefore, families and kids can’t watch the series that is full of making out scenes.

Moreover, the content wasn’t presented with all the sincerity it needs as the nature of the plot, i.e., marital rape and consent demand sincerity.

On the other hand, ‘Locked’ also received poor ratings because of the inconsistency in the writing and no proper detailing that is necessary for a thriller. If not for Satyadev’s performance, the web series wouldn’t have anything to make it watchable.

All in all, Aha isn’t exclusively providing interesting content to be hooked on the platform. Will the platform be able to give even the slightest competition to the players already there?
