Amala’s hero thrown way from home?

‘Maate mantramu, mamate bandhamu’…many yesteryear film goers can recognise this song from ‘Seethakoka Chiluka’ and the teenage hero Karthik. Though Karthik is a Tamil hero basically, he had done some superhit films in Telugu like ‘Abhinandana’, and ‘Anveshana’. He romanced yesteryear heroine Amala (Nag’s wife) in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Gharshana’ (chart buster song ‘Ninu Kori Varnam Varnam…’) and had been a successful hero in Kollywood.

At present Karthik is out of movies and reportedly took to drinking. In fact he got addicted to alcohol and wasting money. He even floated a political party a while ago and nothing turned up rosy for him in politics. Miffed by his ways of pouring down the money in drain and misusing the properties which the family got being the heirs of yesteryear actor Muttu Raman (Karthik’s father), Karthik’s mother literally threw him out of their ancestral house where the joint family is living till date. The actor is reportedly thinking of filing a case against family to get back his rights.
