If MoviePass helped the small to medium budget Telugu films and brought in the audience to cinemas in the US, then Prime (Amazon) seems to be doing the exact opposite. Who would want to watch a small film if it’s going to be available online within a few weeks?

Take the case of Padi Padi Leche Manasu; the movie is available online so soon. And that is not the only one, many films that have arrived around the same time and in the following weeks will be out soon. The film KGF was on the list when it was running well. Wouldn’t the run be curtailed not just in the US, but also in the A Centres?

There might be an exception like Rangasthalam, but that happens once in a blue moon. And in any case, it is a biggie. It is the likes of Antariksham 9000KMPH that get affected theatrically instead of the biggies.
