Another historical role in sight of Rana

If there is one actor in Telugu cinema who seems to be chartering his own path not worrying about the results, it has to be Daggubati Rana. His selection of movies seems so random but they are ultimately paying dividends. He is looking to make another such decision soon.

Rana, if reports in Kollywood are to be believed, has been approached for another supporting role in director Vishnuvardhan’s new movie. It is said to be a historical based on a popular novel where Ajith would be essaying the lead role. In short it would be the same kind of set up as Arrambam but in historical set up.

Thanks to this cameo or short supporting roles in big anticipated films Rana has gained tremendous recognition across different languages. It had helped immensely during the Baahubali run. One only wonders how long the actor will continue to be seen in such parts instead of taking more substantial lead roles though.
