Rajamouli narrated, “Akkineni survived as long as he kept giving warning to the death and when he got bored with his life, he is the one who invited the death and slowly it took him away from us.” The ‘Baahubali’ maker was awarded the prestigious ANR Award for the year 2017.

Rajamouli compared Akkineni to Bheeshma who commanded death and had that power to die whenever he wanted. We know, the narrator in Rajamouli had made him bring that comparison. Honourable Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister KCR graced the prestigious event.
