Appala Raju producer behind the bars!

Remember Kadha, Screenplay, Darshakthvam – Appal Raju starring Sunil and directed by Ram Gopal Varma! The movie was a disaster when released. That movie producer, Kiran Kumar Koneru produced one more movie – Bejawada starring Naga Chaitanya which is also a dud. It is said that he took 1 Crore loan from Prasad Labs for the movie and failed to repay it. The financier had knocked the door of court to retrieve the money. Mr. Koneru even neglected the summons issued by court twice and failed to appear before it.

Finally, the court issued a non bailable warrant on him and was arrested accordingly. But he reportedly fell ill after the arrest and was admitted to a private hospital. It is interesting to note that both the movies had the involvement of Ram Gopal Varma (Presenter of Bejawada).
