Arjun Comes out Strong on Shruti’s Allegations

After Shruti Hariharan, the Kannada actress threw allegations on senior actor Arjun that he misbehaved with her while shooting for a movie demanding an unplanned foreplay scene, the actor maintained silence and refrained to respond on the grave allegations made on him. Was that a strategic silence?

But, his nephew Dhruva Sarja filed a defamation suit against the Kannada actress for 5 crores in Bengaluru. In a way, he has denied the claims of the actress and hence, is taking the legal route. This doesn’t prove anything against the actress, though. There are a few anonymous people who worked for the film who testified that Shruti indeed was approached in a harassing manner.

Legal processes in India take a long time. Meanwhile, the heat around the issue will cease to be interesting anymore. We don’t know what would be the future of this defamation case. But, it’s good that those actresses are raising their voice against harassment. However, on the flip side, there might be fake allegations, as well.
