Copying Allegation On Movie Of The Year

It hasn’t been few days since everyone started praising the film, Aruvi, it is now getting surrounded by a controversy. There is a copying allegation on the movie, and the voice is getting louder online.

Apparently, Aruvi seems to have ripped off the plot of an Egyptian film Asmaa. The basic story is the same, and only setting and space have modified according to the native sensibilities. Earlier in the year another critically acclaimed movie Newton too faced similar charges, but it was sent as India’s official Oscar entry. In the past, National Award winning movie Jigarthanda also faced identical allegations from Tamil movie lovers.

Aruvi meanwhile is growing from strength to strength. A top director like Shankar too has heaped praises on the movie for boldly tackling a sensitive subject giving a new viewing experience.
