Hero Sued his Producer Before Release for 1.8 Cr

Ram Charan’s ‘Dhruva’ fame villain Arvind Swamy is playing one of the main leads along with Trisha in the upcoming Tamil movie ‘Sathuranga Vettai 2’. He sued his producer Manobala, a popular director and also a comedian, in the Madras High Court for the nonpayment of his dues of over Rs. 1.79 crores.

However, he didn’t appeal for an injunction order to stall the movie’s release. Though the judge pressed him that without asking for an injunction order, the movie may be released without restrictions and hence, he can’t press for the non-payment of his remuneration after the release.

Submitting his argument, Aravind Swami’s counsel told the judge that the plaintiff only wanted to show his noble intentions by not aking for an injunction order to stop the movie’s release. Along with the due remuneration, Aravind Swami counsel asked to be paid 18% interest on the due amount.
