‘Arya’ was for Allari Naresh – Sukumar

We keep hearing from time to time about how a particular film was written keeping someone in mind and eventually got made with someone else. Well hear is another such anecdote told by director Sukumar. It is about his debut film Arya, remember it, the film which released almost a decade ago and made Allu Arjun a star over night.

The film according to director was written keeping Allari Naresh in mind. The director said that he initially thought up Arya as a low budget film where he would be telling a love story from a completely different point of view as opposed to what was the norm back then. He felt that is was destiny that brought the film to Allu Arjun and once he was on board the film got bigger and better than he had initially imagined. It is destiny indeed as now one couldn’t even imagine this film with Allu Arjun in the lead role.
