Back-To-Back Disaster BGMs From Anirudh

Anirudh Ravichander rose to fame, and he commands huge hype whenever a film featuring him as a music director is coming out.

In his recent release, Devara, he scored passing marks with a decent BGM. Even though his songs were not instant chartbusters, they still helped Devara big time (Chuttamalle and Fear Song).

However, he composed the music for Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 and Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, and both BGMs turned out to be disasters.

For these films, if the title card did not have Anirudh’s name, no one would know he delivered the BGM, given the utterly poor score he composed.

Anirudh faces criticism for having a bias towards only Tamil films, as he delivers his best work for Tamil directors.

However, these two recent films Indian 2 and Vettaiyan with disastrous BGMs prove that he is like any other music director who delivers poor work as the quantity increases.
