Bajirao gets 6,000 screens in China!

It’s really overwhelming to know that an Indian film is getting such a wide release in China, in about 6000 screens. Bollywood historic drama ‘Bajirao Masthani’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been creating good buzz right from the beginning. The number of theatres for ‘Bajirao’ is more than Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ (5000 screens) got in China.

Though Bajirao has none of the superstars of Bollywood, the content itself is helping it big way to grab the attention of the market. Starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, ‘Bajirao Masthani’ is going to benefit from the huge fan-base in China. Bollywood movies are slowly occupying the interest of Chinese .

Post ‘pk’ success in China, Bollywood has been discovering new markets and hence planning for wide release in countries like China as well, alongside the domestic markets in India.
