NBK112: Koratala Moves Ahead Without Balakrishna?

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s recent injury has not only affected the shooting of Gopichand Malineni’s NBK111 but has also pushed back the start of his next film with director Koratala Siva. Balakrishna recently underwent successful surgery at AIG Hospitals after suffering a torn quadriceps tendon while shooting for NBK111. Doctors have advised him to take complete rest before returning to work.

As a result, Koratala Siva’s project NBK112, which was originally scheduled to begin a major shooting schedule in the last week of August, has now been postponed.

According to industry reports, the makers are now planning to commence shooting in the second week of September. To avoid wasting time, Koratala Siva is expected to begin with scenes that do not require Balakrishna’s presence. The actor is likely to join the shoot only after receiving medical clearance.

Despite the delay, pre-production work is said to be progressing as planned.

The film is reportedly being designed as a full-fledged mass entertainer with Balakrishna in a powerful avatar. At the same time, Koratala Siva is said to have packed the story with strong family emotions, a trademark element that has worked well in many of his previous films.

After the backlash over Devara, Koratala is reportedly taking extra care with the script, hoping to deliver a solid commercial entertainer that satisfies both fans and general audiences.

The project is being produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, and expectations are already high given the combination of Balakrishna and Koratala Siva.

For now, the makers appear to be adjusting the schedule around Balakrishna’s recovery rather than rushing him back to the sets.
