Releasing Today – Fight On For Biggest Small Hit

The film Pichaikkaran starring Vijay Antony arrived unannounced. It ended up being a moderate success despite a deluge of films. Two months later it arrived in Telugu as Bichagadu. Again, it released amidst a slew of big eagerly awaited movies. A nothing sort of film turned into the biggest success of the year in terms of return on investment. It also happens to be the movie with the highest number of direct 100 days centers in the year 2017.

Bethaludu/Saithan is the follow-up film from the same actor. Now, thanks to the extraordinary run of the previous film, Bethaludu is getting all the attention in the two big South Indian industries, Telugu and Tamil.

Just look at the release the film is getting, it is the biggest for a Vijay Antony starrer. With the promos also clicking among the audience there is a huge curiosity associated with it. The advance booking which was literally nonexistent for the previous film, are good here. Further adding to all the interest is the horror genre, which is having a great run box office wise.

Keeping all that in mind and importantly the bilingual aspect, the trade is keenly looking forward to the reaction of the audience towards the film, especially if it’s well liked. If it performs well, it will surely ease pressure on other biggies in coming week like Dhruva and Singam 3. There is also an interest to see if Bethaludu can emerge as the biggest small hit repeating the performance of Bichagadu.
