Telugu cinema is in this constant need for a buzzing young actress to claim the top spot. Since the departure of Pooja Hegde, there has been the vacuum for an actress to take up this numerous uno position.
At one point, Sri Leela was expected to be the heroine to grab this, but she evaded quickly due to consecutive disasters. Her dancing skills kept it going to an extent but lack of commercial success didn’t help the cause.
This was when Bhagyashri Borse was expected to enter the top race as she had a series of highly intriguing projects.
Films like Kingdom, Andhra King Taluka, Kaantha and others were expected to inject her to the bigger picture in Telugu Cinema, but that did not turn out to be the case.
The actress is a perfect blend of aesthetics and she has a reasonably good acting nuance as well. But again, the lack of commercial success to show for it has come back to haunt the actress.
Even this day, we argued that Bhagyashri is one of the few talented young actresses in Telugu Cinema, who has a pretty face and can also act. But things are simply not going at this point in time.
In a span of few months, the actress went from being tipped to be the next big thing to a rather forgotten face. She is trying her hand in Tamil and is likely to come up with a big film there sooner than later.
Considering her skills, Bhagyashri perhaps deserves a better market positioning and we shall see luck favours her anytime soon.
